This is Alyssa's first performance with the
BSCT. She is 12 years old and in the 7th
grade. Alyssa is an accomplished cellist,
swimmer, and figure skater and she is excited

Brooke is a 6th grade home
schooled student. She enjoys drama, reading,
and knitting. In the warmer months, she
enjoys softball and swimming. She has
performed for 5 seasons with the
American Girl Drama Team, and has enjoyed
every minute. This is her first performance
with the BSCT.

grade home schooled student. She enjoys
reading, knitting, and EVERYTHING about horses.
Swimming and camping are a few of her other
favorite things to do. This is her first

opportunity to participate in this exciting

Brown - Martha in The Secret
Garden Marley is excited to be
appearing as "Martha" in A Secret Garden.
Marley has been in several other BSCT productions,
including Once Upon a Mattress, Bugsy Malone,
Seussical the Musical, The Somewhat True Tales of
Robinhood, and The Best Christmas Pageant
Ever. She has also been in The Wizard of
Oz and Our Town at her middle school
and acted as a "Royal Page" at the Kansas City
Renaissance Festival. Marley enjoys reading,
forensics, drawing, painting, and travel. |

Brown - Sowerby Child/Fairgoer
in The Secret Garden Piper loves
being on stage and is happy to be in A Secret

Antonia Carpenter - Jane in The
Secret Garden This is Antonia's
first play with BSCT. At her middle school, where
she is a seventh grader, Antonia has been in two
plays: Our Town and Wizard of Oz.
She has also been in five different productions at
her church, Harvest Baptist Church of Blue
Springs. Her varying interests include singing,
dancing, and hanging out with her friends from
church. Antonia is thrilled to be in this play
and to be a part of BSCT. |

This is Mosha's sixth production at Blue
Springs City Theatre. In her spare time, Mosha
enjoys taking voice lessons with Lena Andrews and
playing the violin in her school orchestra. She

Jenna is very excited to be a part of her first
production with the Blue Springs City Theatre.
She has previously appeared in Rumpelstiltskin
and Frosty the Snowman and is thrilled to

list. She is in the 6th grade and loves soccer,
reading, and of course theatre. |

Kelsey Day - Miss Minchin

Kelsey is an 8th grader and is thrilled to be in
her first performance here at the Blue Springs
City Theatre. She loves to perform and has been
in a variety of shows including, Oliviatown,
You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown,
Seussical Jr. and Willy Wonka Jr. She
loves to sing and has also been in the Kenny
Rogers Christmas Spectacular. |

Emma Elrod - Nurse in The Secret
Garden
Emma is a sixth grader in Lee’s
Summit. She is a dedicated student who
participates in the ASPIRE program and will be
representing her school in the Jackson County
Spelling Bee in March. She is very excited about
this theatrical debut. Emma has been a competitive
gymnast for over three years. She recently was an
emcee and sang a solo in her school’s variety
show. She plays the violin, enjoys reading,
drawing and all genres of music. She is very eager
to take on acting as well!

Samuel is a 2nd
grader in Lee’s Summit. He is a competitive
gymnast. When Sam is not physically in action in
the gym or on the football field, he is in
character of some sort or another and entertaining
family and friends. He loves reading, history and
music and recently sang a solo in his school’s
variety show. He is enjoying his theatre
experience immensely! |

Finoula Emmons - Fairgoer

Finoula is delighted to be in A Secret
Garden! She has been in shows at
Children's Performing Theatre of Independence,
Bell Road Barn Players and City Theatre of
Independence. She has been in The
Nutcracker for five years with Ballet
Conservatory of Independence. The show she's
most enjoyed has been Anything Goes. Finoula
likes riding
her bike, Music Dance Theater, and reading
aloud.

Ryan Emmons - Colin in The Secret
Garden
Ryan is happy to be in his first show
with Blue Springs City Theatre. He has been
involved in shows at Children's Performing
Theatre of Independence, Bell Road Barn
Players, City Theatre of Independence and Paul
Mesner Puppets. He also dances with Ballet
Conservatory of Independence and has been in
The Nutcracker for seven years. His
favorite role has been playing "Gander" in
Charlotte's Web. Ryan enjoys clogging,
playing soccer and robotics.

softball. She hopes that this is the first of many
BSCT performance opportunities. |

Princess Megan is 11 years old.
She played a sheep and an ant in Aesop's
Fables for her first performance. She has
since enjoyed being in several American Girl Drama

and an Actions Speak Louder Than Words
play. Megan also played "Ariel" recently in the

Nathan Hibdon - Archibald Craven in The Secret
Garden
Nathan is a high school senior. This is
his first show with BSCT, however he is not new to
the stage. He was the assistant director for his
8th grade production of Annie, Jr. As a
freshman, he served as grip for Barefoot In
The Park. During his sophomore year, he
performed as a "nerd" in his high school
production of Grease and as "Hickory/Tinman"
in Wizard of Oz his junior year. Most
recently, Nathan played the part of "Linus Van
Pelt" in You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown.
Nathan is a 3 year participant of the Kansas City
Metro All-District Choir. In his spare time, he
play viola. He is really looking forward to an
awesome show! |

Allison Korn has been involved at BSCT for
only a couple years now, and she just can't
stay away! In the past two years, she has
been cast in Seussical the Musical

Miracle Worker (BSCT), Oklahoma!,
The Music Man, and now
The Secret Garden. She
recently played in
Into The Woods at BSHS. She is
excited to continue her future with BSCT.

Olivia Ledford - Fairgoer in The
Secret Garden Olivia is 11 years
old and in the fifth grade. She has two older
brothers and a cat. Olivia loves to sing, read and
spend time with her friends and family. Olivia has
been in five Christian Youth Theater productions
(her favorite being Charlotte's Web), but
this is her first Blue Springs City Theatre
production and she is very excited about it. |

This is Emily's first production at

Carol at the Kansas City Rep, Oliver
and Children of Eden at Center Stage
Theatre in Overland Park, and Jack in the
Beanstalk, Santa Claus is Coming to Town,
The King & I, Winnie the Pooh,
Santa is Missing and The Wizard of Oz
at Casa Mañana Theatre in Fort Worth, TX. She has
also performed on episodes of Barney & Friends.
When Emily is not performing, she enjoys dancing,
reading and spending time with her family. |

Malena Marcase - Miss Amelia in A
Little Princess
Malena is 12 years old and this will be her
first show at BSCT. She has done several
performances around town such as The King
& I, The Music Man, Gypsy,
Nine, Peter Pan &
Godspell. She loves to sing and dance.
She has sung the National Anthem at the Royals
Stadium four times and once at the American
Royal. Her singing and dancing has her
performing at a couple nursing homes each
month. She takes voice lessons with Lena
Andrews and piano with Lori St.Claire. In her
spare times she loves to golf and spend time
with her friends and family.

Baylor Massey - Fairgoer in The Secret Garden
This is
Baylor's first production and she couldn't be more
excited. She is especially glad to be sharing this
experience with friends. Baylor enjoys singing,
dancing and writing scripts with her cousin Eli,
who is also in this production. She would like to
thank Shelly, Jill, and Brian Cutler for helping
her with her acting skills at The Actor's Studio.
Baylor would also like to thank her Mom, Dad, Aunt
Anessa, Cousin Eli and everyone who believed in
her from the very start... and she especially
thanks God for giving her this talent and loving
and caring for her longer than anyone ever could

Secret Garden Paige McArthur is a
12 year old, sixth grader on the Principals' Honor
Roll, She is enjoying her middle school
experience. Paige plays the trombone, piano,
and is a very good cook. This is Paige's third

brothers support in her acting endeavor. |

Ryan is 13 and in the eighth grade.
This is her first time working with BSCT.
Ryan enjoys Theater.
She has been in two Christian Youth Theater
performances as well as two middle school
performances.
She is a member of her school’s honor choir

Ryan recently became a member of Thespians.
She is an avid reader and enjoys doing
crafts and sculpting miniatures. |

Sage is an avid storyteller and hopes to be a
writer when she grows up.

Megan Meadows is 14.
She was previously in Oklahoma and

Goerge Lopez and play ping pong. She would like to

Torie Pascoe - Sowerby Child/Fairgoer
in The Secret Garden A Secret
Garden is Torie's second production with BSCT,
having just finished The Best Christmas
Pageant Ever. For the last five years, she
has been a dedicated dance, acting and voice
student of the Heart of America Dance Centre in
downtown Lee's Summit, performing in 2007 with the
Heart of America Youth Ballet in the
Nutcracker. As a summer student of the
Culture House in Olathe, she performed in
Wickids and as "Jane Banks" in 2008's
Step In Time. She is a second grade student
who enjoys reading and playing outdoors. Torie
would like to thank her family, friends, and
talented instructors for their continued support
of her dreams of being on stage. |

Elijah Reynolds is
excited to play the role of "Dickon". He
loves acting, baseball, playing the drums, texting
and chillaxing while watching tv and movies!
Eli is pursuing a career in the
Entertainment Industry by writing scripts with his
cousin Baylor, as well as producing and acting in
his own videos along side all of his cousins.
Eli would like to thank Brian
Cutler’s Actors Studio, as well as all his family

Especially to Gram who helped with costumes! He

He participates in the

Nolan is a 6th
grader in the Lee’s Summit school
district. Nolan has always been an “actor” at home
and charms us with his antics.
He enjoys reading and
drawing a variety of Japanese cartoon characters.
He is a boy scout and
is working on his 2nd Class.
Nolan was a finalist
in the Orations competition in the 5th
grade and is preparing to compete again this year.
Nolan has had minor
roles in church productions.

Taylor
is an honor student in the 8th grade in
Middle School in the

school district.
The soccer field has been his stage, since
the first grade and he has played competitively
for Futura Futbol Club for the last 5 years.
He is a boy scout and is working toward his
Life ranking.
He is a deacon at his church.
His acting credentials include placing in
the top three in both 5th and 6th
grade at the Orations Competition and minor roles
in church productions. This is his first
opportunity to act in a full-length play. |

Haley is nine years
old and in the third grade. This is Haley's
second production with BSCT, she was in the 2008
production of Joseph and the Amazing
Technicolor Dreamcoat. Haley's hobbies are
scrapbooking, reading and riding her bike. Haley
also has a passion for singing and she plays
basketball in the winter and swims in the summer.
She loves being involved with the theatre, and
looks forward to continued involvement in future

Rhiannon Smith - Sowerby
Child/Fairgoer in The Secret Garden
As a 7 1/2 year old 2nd grader, Rhiannon is no
stranger to the stage. She performed in her first
dance recital at the ripe old age of 4 and has
performed in 3 recitals with TaJazz School of
Dance. She has taken Tap, Combo (Jazz & Tap),
Cheer, Hip-Hop and is presently enrolled in Acro
and Musical Theater. Never one to turn down a new
challenge, Rhiannon was compelled to audition for
this production after seeing several friends
perform in The Best Christmas Pagant Ever
this past December. When not acting, dancing or
turning cartwheels she also enjoys Girl Scouts and
her Radiant Child yoga class at the Zen Zone in
Lee's Summit. |

star/artist/animator/ and maybe President of the

Secret Garden Kara is 12 years
old in 7th grade in Lee's Summit, MO. Kara
performed in the Powell Gardens' Spooktacular
this past October where she had a lot of fun. She
is currently taking the Coterie Theater's Acting
II class. She also plays the piano and violin and
takes voice lessons. Kara is also in Girl Scouts.

Katie is thrilled

6th grade.

is fourteen and is an eighth grader. She enjoys

Savannah's second play at BSCT.

Caroline is 14 years old and enjoys doing many

Conner Wangsgard - Sowerby Child/Fairgoer
in The Secret Garden
Conner is a Utah native
who moved to Blue Springs in 2005. His first solo
appearance at 2 years old was crooning “Take Me
Out to the Ballgame” at his aunt’s wedding
luncheon. Conner regularly entertains his 3rd
grade class and teachers with his amateur
movie-making, original short stories and homework
club. He is the 2008 State of Missouri Reflections
contest winner in original music composition. Secret
Garden represents Conner’s debut on the stage.

Taylor Whitt - Mrs. Medlock
in The Secret Garden
Taylor Whitt is so grateful to be cast in
A Secret Garden. This is her first show
at the Blue Springs City Theatre. Favorite
roles include "Emma Woodhouse" in Jane
Austen's Emma (BSSHS), which
performed at the MO State Thespian Conference,
"Bianca Minola", in The Taming of the
Shrew (Alcott Arts Center), and "Amy
March" in Little Women (AAC). Taylor
is also involved in her school's Forensics and
Mock trial teams. She would like to thank her
amazing, supportive family. "Love you guys!"

Emma Winfrey - Alice in A Little
Princess
Nine year old Emma appeared in BSCT’s productions
of Seussical the Musical, and
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat ,
plus The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and
High School Musical, Jr..
She has portrayed a “Who”, a “Munchkin”,
and a “Jock”, so she is looking forward to finally
having a name!
