Susan Carriger - Gorgeous Teitelbaum
Susan is
thrilled to be working with director Art Suskin
once again. Susan was last seen in Jekyll and Hyde
at The Barn Players and Titanic at Shawnee
Mission's Theater in the Park. When Susan is not
on stage, she is a special educator that works
with children under the age of three with
developmental disabilities. Susan thanks God and
her family and friends for their love and support. |

Michele Craycroft - Sara Goode
Michele began acting at age 9 in her hometown of
Los Angeles. Recently, she has been seen as a
"Witch" in Macbeth, "Mrs. Frank" in
The Diary of Anne Frank and "Ma Joad" in
The Grapes of Wrath. She is an attorney in
Kansas City and has six amazing grandchildren. |

Denny Dey - Geoffrey Duncan
Denny is excited to work with Blue Springs City
Theatre. His past stage appearances include roles
in Marat Sade, Rainmaker, Philadelphia, Here I
Come, Inherit The Wind, The American Dream, A Shot
In The Dark, and Proof. |

Nicole Hall - Tess Goode
Nicole graduated from the University of Central Missouri with a BFA in Theatre Performance in May of 2008 where she was seen in the following: Shakespeare in Hollywood (Olivia Darnell), Mr. Marmalade (Lucy), Side by Side by Sondheim, Spinning Into Butter (Catherine Kenney), and Thoroughly Modern Millie (Ms. Flannery). Since then, she has been seen as Jennifer in the Fringe Festival production of Collisions and Viola in Twelfth Night at JCCC. She has been a guest choreographer for UCM's production of Cabaret and Ruskin High School's production of School House Rock: Live!. Nicole's plans for the future include choreographing Hickman Mills' Choir Cabaret and performing as The Girl in another Fringe Festival production, Mountaineers, in mid-April. After that, she has high hopes for a permanent residence in New York City, and we'll see what happens from there.

Stephen Howard - Nicholas Pym
Stephen is pleased to be back at BSCT
for his second production, the first being The
Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe (2004)
portraying "The Centaur". Stephen has appeared in
nearly 50 Kansas City area productions; his last
was I'll Be Back Before Midnight for City
Theatre of Independence portraying "Greg".
Favorite roles include "Starbuck" in The
Rainmaker, "Hamlet" in Fortinbras, and
"Albert" in The Dinner Party. As always,
Stephen would like to say, "Thanks to the best
family and friends you could ask for, an awesome
cast and crew, and of course to Art Suskin for yet
another opportunity to grow and learn." Stephen
lives in Blue Springs and works in Kansas City,
MO. |

Rachel Ommerman - Pfeni Rosensweig
Rachel Ommerman is thrilled to be working with
Blue Springs City Theater for the first time.
Other favorite roles include "Meg" in Leading
Ladies, "Lady MacDuff" in Macbeth,
and "Josefa" in Shot in the Dark.
Rachel would like to thank Art for including her
in this show with such a great cast and crew.

Alan Tilson - Mervyn Kant
Alan recently performed 50
Shakespeare Monologues for the Kansas City
Fringe Festival this past summer. While an
undergraduate in Theater/Dance at UMKC, he
apprenticed with Missouri Repertory Theatre. He
Subsequently was a member of the acting company
with the Oregon, Colorado, Minnesota, and Heart of
America Shakespeare Festivals. Alan
has also acted locally with Theatre for Young
America, toured Kansas with the Coterie production
of The Land of the Blind, and toured the
city in Hindu & the Cowboy produced by
the Metropolitan Ensemble Theatre. Also with MET,
Alan has performed in Inherit the Wind
and Night of January 16th with the KC
Public Library Script in Hand Series. He was also
seen in Hecuba with the Gorilla Theater.
Since moving back to Kansas City, Alan has
understudied leading, supporting and character
roles in six Kansas City Repertory Theater
productions and went on as the "Judge" in To
Kill a Mockingbird. |

Meet The Director |

|
|
Art Suskin - Director Art has directed well over 100 productions, acted in 150, and served as Artistic Director for eight theatre companies. In more than 40 years of directing, he has presented theatre in virtually every theatrical genre. He founded The Theatre Gym in 2006 to instruct individuals and groups in acting, directing, playwriting and related theatre activities. Art has taught theatre at the high school and college levels. He has also taught philosophy, English, and communications theory at Pembroke Hill and Rockhurst College in Kansas City. In 2008, he directed Titanic: The Musical for The Theatre in the Park, which was voted by KC Stage readers as one of the top ten productions in Kansas City for 2008 in two categories.
Locally, Art staged 10 productions for the Olathe Community Theatre Association (OCTA) since 1998 and, since 1974, 13 for The Barn Players. Art has acted and directed extensively in New York City and Miami. In New York, he also served as Consulting Director to the American Playwrights Workshop. He has co-authored several original scripts for children including The Adventures of Sinbad the Sailor for performance in Central Park. He has also collaborated on a theatre memoir, A Spirit’s Odyssey: A Life Journey On and Off the Stage. In 2009, he will stage productions of T.S. Eliot’s Murder in the Cathedral and the Midwest première of The Busy World is Hushed, both under the auspices of The Theatre Gym. These two plays constitute the first in an on-going initiative called “Faith in the 21st Century.”

mission of Blue Springs City Theatre is to present
live theatre productions for the cultural education,
entertainment and inspiration of the community; foster
and develop through theatrical workshops and other
appropriate means, the artistic talents and skills of
company members and other interested persons; and
subsidize social activities designed to foster the
foregoing purposes of the organization. |
