Meet The Cast
   
Sam Aubuchon - Oliver Twist
Sam is excited to make his acting debut with BSCT!! He is a fourth grader and has been studying violin and piano since kindergarten. He enjoys reading about mythology, riding his bike, and climbing trees with his neighborhood friends. He swims year round for Team Dolphins and plays hockey. When he grows up, he would like to be a navy pilot, like his uncle, and an opera singer, like Pavarotti.

  Chip Buckner - Fagin
Chip is an agribusiness attorney on the Plaza who sings with the Grace and Holy Trinity (Episcopal) Cathedral Choir. He has argued cases in the Missouri, Kansas and US supreme courts, judged Miss America pageant preliminaries and tented through a typhoon. (He got very wet). Favorite roles include "Fagin" (Oliver!), "Captain" (Titanic), "Ben Weatherstaff" (Secret Garden), "Bellomy" (Fantasticks), quartet member (Music Man), scoutmaster, husband, father and, not so recently, "Oliver."
   
  Hannah Carr - Workhouse Orphan
Hannah, a fourth grader in Kansas City, is thrilled to be making her BSCT debut with Oliver! A newcomer to the theatre, Hannah’s last performance was with Children’s Performing Theatre of Independence’s The Nifty Fifties. Hannah wishes lots of love to her Mom, Dad, little brother Henry, baby sister Chloe, and all four of her grandparents. She dedicates her performance to the memory of Rocky, her beloved fish.
   
  Patrick Carr - Mr. Sowerberry
Oliver! marks Patrick’s first time on the BSCT stage since his 2003 portrayal of "Willy Wonka" in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He is excited to be performing again, and especially proud to share the stage with his daughter Hannah. Patrick wants to thank his wife, Rita, their younger children Henry and Chloe, and his co-workers and students at William Chrisman High School for all of their encouragement and support.
   
  Nino Casisi- Mr. Bumble
Nino Casisi returns to BSCT having directed Little Shop of Horrors and Fiddler on the Roof and playing "Clarence" in It's A Wonderful Life. Nino has directed many regional productions: Mel Brooks' The Producers, Sweeney Todd, Cabaret and Noises Off (to name a few). He has acted in many venues like Martin City Melodrama, New Theatre Restaurant and various regional theatres. Nino dedicates this show to Mike, Bella and Bruno.
   
  Janice Chance - Old Sally
This is Janice's fourth production with Blue Springs City Theatre and she is truly excited about having another opportunity to be on stage. Janice has really enjoyed getting to know others from the theatre and is really pleased to see many of them again in this production. Janice is truly glad to be playing the part of "Old Sally" and has been wanting to do the part of an old lady for a while now.
   
  Cydney Cherepak - Ensemble
Cydney will be in eighth grade in Blue Springs. She will play clarinet in the band, run cross country, and be in the National Junior Honors Society. During her free time she plays with her dog, swims, fishes, sings, and plays video games or watches T.V. with her brother. This is Cydney's first musical with Blue Springs City Theatre, she is so excited to be in Oliver!

  Sara Eggers - Widow Corney
Sara is the mother of three daughters; Murielle, Amy and Danielle and a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Independence School District, working with both elementary and preschool students. She asks that those touched by the story of Oliver remember those who are traded as slaves today, both in prayer and in action. James 1:27
   
  Kevin Elmore - Mr. Brownlow
This is Kevin's third performance at BSCT. He first showed up in Blue Springs as the mute king in Once Upon a Mattress. Now that he has found his voice, he is happy to add it to the ensemble. He has worked under Nancy a couple of times before, and he couldn't resist the chance to work with her again.
   
  Nicole Eppert - Workhouse Orphan
Nicole is a fourth grader in Independence. She is an active gymnast who loves the theater. This is her first play and she plans to do more this year.
   
  Adam Gannan - Workhouse Orphan (Jack Jack)
Adam is four years old, the youngest member of the cast. He likes dancing and singing with his brothers on stage. Adam loves his family, Legos, all sports and is learning to read. His favorite animals are frogs and birds. Enjoy the show!
   
  Ian Gannan - Workhouse Orphan (Zechariah)
Ian is eight years old, a third grader in Blue Springs. He enjoys building all sorts of things. He plays the piano and soccer and is a Cubscout. His favorite scene is, "Food, Glorious Food". This is second BSCT show, hope you love his hard efforts.
   
  Tiffany Gannan - Ensemble (Ruth)
This is Tiffany's first BSCT production. She is thoroughly enjoying being back on stage, especially the opportunity to be with her children. She loves entertaining, scrapbooking, exercising and volunteering at her sons school and church. Thank you for your support.
   
  Will Gannan - Workhouse Orphan (Peter)
Will is going to be a first grader. This is his second production with BSCT. He is having fun with old friends and making new ones. He loves books, Star Wars, art and baseball and he loves to play. He also loves his family and gardening. Hope you like the show.
   
  Danny Grumich - Bill Sykes
Danny is very excited to be appearing with Blue Springs City Theatre for the first time. A native of St. Louis, Danny will be entering his senior year at Rockhurst University in the fall where he majors in English and minors in Theatre and Performing Arts. Some of Danny's favorite shows he's done at Rockhurst have been Threepenny Opera (Tiger Brown), Edges (Kevin), and The Laramie Project. Enjoy the show!
   
  Kristin Hacker-Hickman- Ensemble
Kristin has performed in seventeen plays and musicals since the age of eight. Her favorite roles include the title role in Antigone, "Kate" in Brighton Beach Memoirs, and "Mrs. Sowerberry" in “Oliver!” She is also a singer/songwriter performing with her Celtic music group Shillelagh Law at renaissance and pirate festivals across the Midwest. She has especially enjoyed sharing this production of “Oliver!” with her son, A.J.
   
  A.J. Hickman - Workhouse Orphan
A.J. is eight years old and a student in Blue Springs. This is his first play, though he has participated in many school and church programs. He enjoys gymnastics, video games, and superheroes. He has had fun sharing this play with his mom, Kristin.
   
  Hannah K. Hutchins - Nancy
Hannah has not been seen on stage since 2000 and owes this return to her husband and son's support, her mother's faith in her and her father's unconditional love. To the cast and crew, thank you for your helping me remember how much fun musical theatre is, and to the director- YOU ARE MY HERO! Proverbs 3:5-6
   
  Caroline Jackson - Ensemble
   
  Curtis Jackson - Fagin's Pickpocket Gang
Curtis got his start in theatre by following his sister Caroline and his Dad around. His first big show was on this same Blue Springs stage with this same great director as a grandchild in Miracle on 34th Street. He enjoys being a pickpocket because it is the biggest role he has got in theatre. His other interests include music and baseball.
   
  Dennis Jackson - Dr. Grimwig/Ensemble
   
  Rebekah Jackson - Milk Maid/Ensemble
Mrs. Jackson met her husband and step-babies at BSCT three years ago. She’s thrilled to do another show with them and her sister, Sariah. Previous roles include: "Marian" (The Music Man), "Narrator" (Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat), and "Grace" (Annie). She’s a victim-advocate for the entity who prosecutes slavery in Western Missouri, and dedicates her performance to Carrie Rosetti, founder of the KC Alliance Against Human Trafficking.   Abby Miller - Workhouse Orphan (Leslie Ann)
This is Abby's second show with BSCT. She was a shopper in this year’s production of Lost and Foundling. Abby is eight years old and is in second grade in Blue Springs. She loves spending time with her friends. She collects toy monkeys, plays piano, and loves playing with her dog Cleo. Abby has enjoyed participating in this production alongside her twin brother CJ.
   
  CJ Miller - Fagin's Pickpocket Gang (Bryon Snatcher)
CJ is excited to be one of “Fagin’s” gang of pickpockets, and is having a blast. Oliver is his third show with BSCT. He has also been in Rented Christmas and Lost and Foundling. CJ is a second grader in Blue Springs and loves playing football, basketball, and piano. He enjoys performing alongside his twin sister, Abby.
   
  Shay Morgan - Workhouse Orphan
Shay is very excited for her maiden voyage into the theater world. She loves to be expressive and to sing and dance. Shay is an excellent student, and in her spare time love spending time with friends and family, playing with her pets, crushing a soccer ball and practicing yoga. Ask to see her King Pigeon! Shay hopes this is her first of many productions.
   
  Sariah Pinick - Rose Seller/Ensemble
Sariah is excited to be cast in Oliver!, her fourth production with BSCT. She recently performed with CTI as "Anna" in The King and I and in Cinderella. Sariah holds a Master of Arts in Vocal Music from UMKC-Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from MU-Columbia. She teaches voice at Music/Arts Institute in Independence, MO and sings with the Kansas City Symphony Chorus. Jeremiah 29:11
   
  Sharon Propst - Mrs. Sowerberry
Sharon recently appeared in the River City Players spring farce, Don't Dress for Dinner and as the "Wicked Witch" in the Raytown Arts Council’s production of The Wizard of Oz. Sharon serves as RCP’s President & Publicity Chairperson and on the Raytown Arts Council Board. She shares her home with her husband and their seven cats. She wishes to thank Jeff, the parking lot crew, the cast and crew.
   
  Rachael Rodriguez - Workhouse Assistant/Ensemble
Rachael is excited to once again be returning to the BSCT stage! Her Credits include A Christmas Carol (Belle), The Miracle Worker (Helen Keller), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat (Bilhah - Wife of Jacob) and The King and I (Siamese Slave Dancer). She would like to send thanks to Mom, Daddy, Nana, Grandpa, Edward and her Vocal Coach Kristen Janell Sullivan.
   
  Joan Singer - Mrs. Bedwin
Joan has a BA in Theatre and toured the country performing "Mrs. Von Daan" in the professional production of Diary of Anne Frank, performed three years as "Momma Nonna" in KC's professional dinner show, Joey and Maria's Italian Wedding, has appeared at the New Theatre Restaurant, in movies, and on television. Performance credits include: "Aunt Eller" - Oklahoma, "Meg Boyd" - Damn Yankees, "Clare Gantz" - Rumors. Past BSCT performances: "Vi Moore" - Footloose and "Sister Margaretta/Frau Schmidt" - Sound of Music.
   
  Annie Smith - Workhouse Orphan
Annie is an eight year old girl attending second grade. Annie participates in gymnastics and is beginning swim team. She also enjoys singing, playing the piano, and playing with family and friends. She is an enthusiastic delight.
   
  Colin Smith - Workhouse Orphan
Colin is a six year old boy who is in kindergarten. He plays soccer and t-ball. He also loves playing the piano, fishing, hiking, and playing with family and friends. Colin is a zany gem.

  Anthony Squire - Ensemble
Anthony Squire, born in Independence in 1976, raised in BlueSprings and is a father of four. This is Anthony’s first involvement since he was eight years old in Blue Springs theatre when his mom and aunt designed and painted the set and scenery to the King and I. Anthony has been involved in various choirs growing up he is also pre-teen praise team and small group leader for Blue Springs Christian Church.
   
  Brooklynn Squire - Workhouse Orphan
Brooklynn (seven) lives in Blue Springs with parents and three siblings. She enjoys gymnastics, reading and playing with her guinea pig Grace. This is her stage debut and is accompanied by her parents and twin brother. Brooklynn starting Hip Hop Dancing with her older sister when she was four years old.
   
  Janelle Squire - Ensemble
Janelle is a Blue Springs resident with four Kids. She loves playing Texas Hold 'Em and playing games with her kids. She enjoys singing and dancing at her church as an elementary worship leader. She is a newbie to the stage and is accompanied by her husband and some of her kids, having lots of family fun.
   
  William "Billy" Squire - Workhouse Orphan
Billy is a first grader who resides in Blue Springs with His mom, dad and three sibilings. His parents and twin sister are also in this production. Billy enjoys inventing and building things and wants to be a scientist and a rock star. This is Billy's stage debut. He had is Youtube debut at five with Billy the Dancin' Machine.

  Britanee Starr Stevens - Workhouse Orphan
Britanee is thrilled to return to the BSCT stage in Oliver! She has performed previously in the BSCT productions of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Footloose. When she is not pursuing her passion for theatre, she can be found competing for national championships as a member of GAGE Cheer.
   
  Cody Stevens - Workhouse Orphan
Cody is very excited to be a part of the BSCT production of Oliver! He has previously performed as the "Little Pharaoh" in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and a member of the ensemble in Footloose. When not performing, Cody is a competitive baseball and basketball player for Fort Osage.
   
  Jonathon Stevens - Workhouse Orphan
Jonathan is thrilled to return to the BSCT stage in Oliver, following his debut as an ensemble cast member in Footloose. When not performing, Jonathan plays competitive sports at Blue Valley Activity Center, where he was the leading scorer on his basketball team for the 2010-2011 season.
   
  Kylie Stevens - Workhouse Orphan
Kylie is very excited to be a part of the BSCT production of Oliver! She has previously performed as part of the ensemble in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Footloose. When not performing, she enjoys competition cheer and playing sports at BVAC.
   
  Aaron Stokes - Ensemble
This is Aaron’s second appearance on the BSCT stage. He first appeared as "Max Detweiler" in their 2010 production of The Sound of Music. Aaron’s other interests include amateur photography and tropical aquaria. The lone male in a family of five, he still runs things at home—usually errands.
   
  Bryce Stone - Fagin's Pickpocket Gang
Bryce is an all-around student and athlete, actor and singer. He is a part of National Junior Honors Society, a member of honors choir and orchestra. He also enjoys the friends from his previous play, The Sound of Music. Also, he is involved in private vocal lessons. He likes to play football and soccer competitively and with his friends. We are hoping he really enjoys this play.
   
  Addy Street - Workhouse Orphan (Kate)
Addy is very excited to be a part of the Oliver!, which is Addy's musical debut. Addy will be entering the third grade in Blue Springs. She has been actively involved in dance at Dynamic Dance Studio for five years. She has enjoyed performing at the Royals Fan Fest, T-bones game, parades and many other competitions. When Addy is not dancing she enjoys playing piano at Meyer Music.
   
  Ava Street - Workhouse Orphan (Elizabeth)
Ava is excited to be a part of Oliver! This is Ava’s musical debut. Ava will be entering the first grade in Blue Springs. She has been actively involved in dance at Dynamic Dance Studio for three years. She has enjoyed dancing at the Royals Fan Fest, T-Bones game, parades and competitions. When Ava is not performing she enjoys playing T-Ball.
   
  Kara Strickler - Bet
This is Kara’s fifth show at BSCT where she was last seen as the lead, "Pryce," in Lost and Foundling. She has also performed in Rented Christmas, Life and Adventures of Santa Claus, and The Secret Garden. Kara also played a Girl Scout Zombie in Coterie Theater’s Maul of the Dead. Kara is ecstatic to be playing "Bet." Outside of acting, Kara enjoys taking piano, dance and voice lessons.
   
  Kemp Strickler - Ensemble
This is Kemp’s third show with BSCT, having performed in Rented Christmas (Briggs) and The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus (Frank Baum). Many years ago, he was in school productions of Carousel (Jigger Craigin), Finian’s Rainbow (Buzz Rawkins) and Irene. Kemp is looking forward to sharing the stage again with his daughter, Kara ("Bet"). Many thanks to his wife, Kristy, for supporting his passion for performing!

  Satchel Wheeldon - The Artful Dodger
Just recently starting theatre in the past year, Satchel has made a lot out of it. Satchel has recently been inducted into the Junior Thespian Society. He has been Lights Chief of a school musical, Aladdin. and one play here at BSCT, The Lost and Foundling. Along with the tech crew roles, he has acted in One Acts at his middle school, and showed up in some other plays with small acting roles when he was much, much younger.

  Nancy Eppert - Director
Nancy has acted with and directed for several theaters in the Kansas City area. She was awarded best director for the 2003 MoACT’s first place entry- Taking Sides, first place entry Fat in 2009; 2005 directed KC’s #1 non-professional production Hello, Dolly. She chairs the AACT Education Committee and has been elected to the AACT Board. This is Nancy’s third time directing for BSCT. I love you, John! Thanks Mama!
   
   
  David Rogers - Musical Director
By day David is a mild-mannered web-application developer for KU, but at night he becomes as a musician! He has served as musical director for many shows including Hello Dolly! and Schoolhouse Rock Live! For a while he worked at Starlight Theater as a stage manager and assistant musical director. Additionally, he chairs the Kansas City Harmony Interfaith Choral Concert, and coordinates events at the Kansas City Improv Comedy Club.
   

The mission of Blue Springs City Theatre is to present live theatre productions for the cultural education, entertainment and inspiration of the community; foster and develop through theatrical workshops and other appropriate means, the artistic talents and skills of company members and other interested persons; and subsidize social activities designed to foster the foregoing purposes of the organization.
